Red-Carpet Look Book: Anna Kendrick

Young Anna Kendrick is a vanilla cipher: There’s nothing really wrong with her red-carpet wardrobe, but there’s nothing really right, either. And so, tragically, she’s become a fashion non-entity, sporting cute minidresses nearly everywhere, always accessorized with a peek of 24-year-old flesh. At least she doesn’t shy away from color, but not even a surprise maroon or blue frock can make up for an utterly forgettable dress. Thus far, there’s only been one exception — an asymmetrical, sequined and spangled number — which may not have been the most wonderful dress on the rack but at least was memorable. And during awards season, that’s something that can only help Kendrick. In short: It’s time for a stylist with vision.
