Orange Is the New Blacks Sideboob Is a Real Band
No spoiler alert needed, but you might not care about Officer Caputo’s band Sideboob until you get to episodes 5 and 6 of Orange Is the New Black’s season two. Turns out Sideboob is a “real band” — or, at least, they have an EP that you can hear (and download) on Bandcamp. “The band’s name originates from that time Gabe wore a tank top to the neighborhood pool and his wife wouldn’t stop commenting on how much sideboob he was showing,” the description reads. And at the bar, Caputo reveals that their song “Working in the Mine” isn’t really about the plight of mine workers; it’s about guitarist Al’s vasectomy reversal: “It’s a metaphor.”
