Holly Hunter Is Making a Very Six Feet UnderSounding HBO Show With Alan Ball
After a detour into the sex, death, and gore of True Blood, it seems like Alan Ball’s heading back to his relatively more somber variety of sex, death, and gore found in something like Six Feet Under. Entertainment Weekly reports that Holly Hunter has joined the cast of Ball’s currently untitled new HBO family drama, which centers on “a philosophy professor, his lawyer wife, their three adopted children from Somalia, Vietnam, and Colombia, and their sole biological child.” Hunter will play the matriarch of the family, which is “harboring deep rifts” that widen once “one of the children begins to see things others cannot. Is it mental illness? Or something else?” Yeah, there’s a 90 percent chance it’s dead people.
