Frankenweenie Trailer: Tim Burton Reanimates Mans Best Friend

If you’ve ever loved a dog, the new trailer for Tim Burton’s Frankenweenie will get you good. Remade from Burton’s live-action 1984 short film as a full-length stop-motion picture, it’s the story of Frankenstein given a kid-movie twist: After a young boy’s faithful dog passes away, he stitches him back together and electrifies the pooch with a life-giving lightning strike. Vulture’s not ashamed to say that we teared up at the sad dead-dog stuff here, and then laughed at the clever sight gags (including one particularly inspired Bride of Frankenstein bit).
