Brady and Gilligan Creator Sherwood Schwartz Dead
TMZ reports that television creator Sherwood Schwartz has died at age 94. You might recognize his name from the title cards flashed at the beginning of The Brady Bunch and Gilligan’s Island, as he wrote and created both those shows … and if that legacy wasn’t quite enough already, he wrote their theme songs, too. And yet he only won one (unrelated) Emmy award and didn’t get a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame until 2008? Blasphemy!
